You can enjoy the forest at you own pace and follow your own particular interest be it birds, insects, ferns or just the chance to be alone. Follow the Deer Cave Walk from HQ and after 1,3 km you will climb down to the forest floor to follow a clearly marked trail along the Paku river. Although it is an easy walk you will need good walking shoes. The trail is often muddy with streams to cross and you will get dirty.

You must register at Park Security to let them know when you expect to be back.

You may NOT proceed beyond the waterfall to Camp 1 without a guide.
